The Community Center project is moving along quickly, but there will be a few days construction will be halted for events. Tomorrow is the 2024 Presidential Primary at the Community Center from 6:00am to 9:00pm. Please stop in and exercise your right to vote.

There will be no reason to quickly exit the Town of Jay after the Solar Eclipse on April 8th. We will be holding an after party with live music by Replay and hors d’oeuvres starting at 4:00pm. You can still stop into my office or the Town Clerk’s office to pick up your free eclipse glasses.

On April 24th, Essex County Public Health will be holding its next Rabies Clinic at the Jay Volunteer Fire Department from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. There is a suggested donation of $5 and you are required to pre-register. Here is a link to the website for more information about this clinic and other clinics around the county this summer: https://essexcountyny.gov/Health/rabies-clinics/. You can also scan the QR code on the attached flyer.

Mother Nature is not done with winter yet. Another round of weather is expected later this week. As we get information from Essex County Emergency Services, we will be posting any weather warnings the Town of Jay receives.

Lastly, next week is meeting week with the Town of Jay Planning Board meeting on Wednesday evening 4/10 at 6:00pm at the Community Center. The Town of Jay Town Board Regular Board meeting is on Thursday evening 4/11 at 7:00pm. Both meetings are available virtually, as usual.

Hope you have a great week,
Matt.
