The 2024 Tentative Budget has been submitted to the Town Clerk and the Town of Jay Town Board to review prior to budget workshops which will happen the week of October 16th. This past week was our monthly board meeting. During that meeting, Councilman Adam Coolidge gave a report for the Ambulance Committee. This report laid out the issues that have been discussed during meetings with the AuSable Forks Volunteer Ambulance Service, the Town of Black Brook, and the Town of Jay. Update on Contract/Budget Negotiations with Au Sable Forks Volunteer Ambulance Service
The owns of Jay and Black Brook have jointly contracted with the Au Sable Forks Volunteer Ambulance Service (AFVAS) for decades and shared the expenses roughly 2/3 for Town of Jay and 1/3 for Town of Black Brook.
