Street Cleaning in Au Sable Forks

The Town of Jay Highway Department will be cleaning College Street and the Tops parking lot on Monday, June 8th, beginning at 6:00 am. Please do not park along the street or in the parking lot during this time. This will help the crew get in and out efficiently before it impacts parking for the rest of the day. Thank you for your cooperation and support.

 

Around Town

  • Tonight, June 5th, starting at 6:00 pm, the Walls Between Waters Mural Dedication and Celebration will take place at the AuSable Theater. The Dogfather and Irm’s Tamales will be on-site for food, and there will be live music by Jeezum Crowe.
  • Tomorrow, June 6th, the Vivid Life Fun Run will take place starting at the Jay Village Green. Registration begins at 9:00 am, and the race starts at 10:00 am. Come out to enjoy live music, an ice cream truck, and a raffle.
  • On Monday, June 8th, the AVCS Budget Hearing will be held at the Middle/High School at 6:00 pm.
  • On Wednesday, June 10th, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, the University of Vermont Health Network will host a CPR and “Stop the Bleed” event at the Jay Volunteer Fire Department. This event is aimed at teaching vital skills to help you better prepare for an emergency. The program is free and open to the public, but requires pre-registration by calling 518-585-3761.
  • On Thursday, June 11th, the Town of Jay Regular Monthly Board Meeting will take place at 7:00 pm at the Community Center.
  • Looking ahead to Saturday, June 20th, the Au Sable Forks Fire Department will hold a carwash and boot drive at their new station located at 2456 Route 9N from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
