Weekly Update:
This past weekend I was invited to speak at the Ausable Acres Property Owners’ Association Membership meeting. It was great to see such a large turn out of members. I was able to talk about the grants we are applying for this year, the increased assessed values in the town, and short term rental impacts. I feel the conversation was informative for both the residents of Au Sable Acres and for me as well. I look forward to future meetings with the membership.
I was able to stop by the Tahawus Center on Saturday afternoon for the opening of the CraftWorks exhibit. It amazes me the amount of talent in our area. If you want to see this exhibit, it runs through July.
I would like to welcome a new business to the Town of Jay, NewVida Bistro. This is the first segment of the business to open at Cascada NewVida Preserves at the former Paleface Ski Center.
Lastly, tomorrow is the Town of Jay, NY 225th Anniversary and 4th of July Celebration. Parade starts at Noon and a day of actives will follow at the Jay Village Green and the Jay Volunteer Fire Department. The day will conclude with fireworks at dusk. See you there!
Hope you have a great week,
Matt.
