Main Street Grant Award
This week, it was announced that the Town of Jay was awarded $315,000 through the New York Main Street Program to support downtown revitalization efforts in Au Sable Forks. This accomplishment reflects years of sustained planning, technical work, and coordination between the Town of Jay and the North Country Rural Development Coalition.

Plus One ADU Grant Program
If you are considering converting existing space or creating a new Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU), the Plus One ADU Program may be able to help. Affordable housing options remain limited in both Essex County and the Town of Jay, and this program, offered through the Essex County Land Bank, is designed to help expand housing opportunities.

Meetings Recap
This was a busy week in the Town of Jay. On Monday, we welcomed Assemblyman Michael Cashman for a Town Hall meeting in the Community Center gym. Despite inclement weather, residents attended to discuss topics including limited cell phone service, recent broadband issues, electric mandates, utility rates, and other community concerns.

On Thursday, the Town Board held its 2026 Organizational Meeting at 7:00 pm.
