Sustainability and Energy Fair Moved to the Community Center
The 2nd Annual Sustainability and Energy Fair has been moved from the Jay Village Green to the Community Center in Au Sable Forks due to the weather forecast for tomorrow. We hope you’ll still join us for this important event.
Public WiFi Expansion
Today, the Essex County IT Department began installing public WiFi and security cameras at Riverside Park next to Tops. This addition will improve safety at the park while also giving residents and visitors another way to stay connected in areas with limited cell service. The WiFi is already available, and the cameras will be operational in the coming weeks.
Adirondack Harvest Festival
Mark your calendars! The 2025 Adirondack Harvest Festival will take place on Saturday, September 20 from 12–5 pm at the Essex County Fairgrounds. This year’s theme is “Seeds & Grains.” Workshops and demonstrations will highlight the world of seeds and grains, while still celebrating the full bounty of Adirondack harvests.
The festival wouldn’t be possible without volunteers. Those who sign up for a 2.5-hour shift will receive a free 2025 festival t-shirt, and Saturday volunteers will also receive a $20 lunch stipend to use at the festival. Sign up here: https://adirondackharvest.com/2025-festival-volunteers/
