Parking Ban
Following the recent snowstorm, street cleaning in the Town of Jay was made difficult due to vehicles remaining parked on roadways in Au Sable Forks and Jay. We do our best to notify residents through Voyent Alert and Facebook when street cleaning is planned as a reminder to move vehicles.
I would like to remind residents that Town of Jay Local Law No. 3 of 1998 establishes a parking ban from November 1 through April 1, between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. During inclement weather, please ensure vehicles are parked off the roadway during these hours so the Highway Department can safely and effectively clear the streets. Violations of this local law may result in vehicles being towed at the owner’s expense.
