Salt Reduction Grant Award
The Town of Jay has been awarded up to $50,000 through the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Non Agricultural Nonpoint Source Planning and MS4 Mapping Grant Program. This funding will support the Town’s Road Salt Reduction Strategy, an important planning effort to protect local water resources while strengthening long term environmental stewardship.
The grant was awarded through the State’s Consolidated Funding Application process, with contracts expected to be executed within 90 to 120 days following review and approval by the Office of the State Comptroller. This award reflects continued progress in securing state resources to support responsible infrastructure planning and environmental protection in the Town of Jay.
